An Alexanders education endows each individual student with the self-confidence that derives from performance, the appreciation of the arts as fundamental to the human experience and a creative approach to all they do. Whether through learning to speak in public, drama, dance and music, or by developing a love of the language and creative arts.
Children enter Secondary School in Year 7 which, along with Year 8, comprises Key Stage 3.
Key Stage 3 prepares students for the deeper, more specialised study of their International GCSEs. It consolidates and extends knowledge by introducing greater subject depth and abstract concepts. This key stage develops critical thinking, and analytical skills and broadens or children's exposure to creative, cultural, and technical subjects.
Entering Key Stage 4 in Year 9 starts our children on their International GCSE pathway towards Pearson Edexcel international external examinations. Our students will follow around 8 subject specifications: the compulsory subjects of English First Language, Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry, or Chemistry and Physics and one foreign language. Our students have the optional subjects of History, Geography, Business Studies, Economics and Accounting to choose from.
